I wanted to take a moment and recognize something that I absolutely LOVE!
Let me introduce to you two of our JHO moms, Angela & Stacey. They both have new 6th grade boys. This last Sunday at JHO they came rollin’ up in their car and Angela said “Hope you’re ready for us to unload the bus”. Angela said this because they have stuffed their car to the legal brim with 6 kids in it-ONLY TWO OF THEIR OWN!!!
I absolutely love this!
One thing I love to see parents grab is this, kids are the inviters, parents are the bringers!. Unlike high school ministry where friends can drive other friends, JH students do not have this luxury. As pastors we can encourage and inspire students to invite kids to church every week, but if parents don’t bring them, they don’t come.
These two get it! They know that some kids will never experience Jesus unless they fill their car!
Just think about this for a minute…
Parents… The only thing between a student experiencing Jesus, could be your car!
I encourage all of you parents, fill up your car! If you have one extra seat or five… FILL EM UP!
Sometimes as a parent of a JH student your best form of evangelism is as simple as a ride to church.
I also want to thank every single parent who week in and week out brings your JH student to JHO! Even if your not filling up your car full of students yet, you are investing in the ONE who will help that happen one day, your own!
